The AS/400 considers the '?' character as the first character of an input field to be a cursor move request. The request moves the cursor to that input field, thus allowing you to use the F1 (contextual Help) or F4 (prompt) buttons, for example.
This only seems to work, however, in those places where the web client allows you to enter input. So, in practice, this may not be too useful.
