Limitations

• Keyboard Mapping ie. Client's Function (Pf) keys may not map correctly to 5250 keys. It is recommended to use a Mouse to 'click' on buttons where possible.
• Cursor is not displayed. This may cause unexpected results on screens where the cursor is used as a selection indicator ie. selecting a particular message from QSYSOPR message queue.

  The AS/400 considers the '?' character as the first character of an input field to be a cursor move request. The request moves the cursor to that input field, thus allowing you to use the F1 (contextual Help) or F4 (prompt) buttons, for example.

  This only seems to work, however, in those places where the web client allows you to enter input. So, in practice, this may not be too useful.

• Some DDS keywords such as DSPATR are not supported therefore attributes such as BLINK and UNDERLINE will not display on the Web client.
• No text assist (OfficeVision/400)
• No bi-directional support
• No applications that automatically update the 5250 screen without the client use of an aid key. An example is the performance tools command WRKSYSACT when using the automatic screen refresh option.
• Non-USA had an MRI problem during the final build of the General and Function pull down menus. One pre-requisite PTF is needed (SF32373 - as of 09-July-96 this PTF was not available) for a list of MRI PTFs:
