SLIP Configuration, PC Calling the AS/400

The needed configuration elements are:

• TCP/IP Point-to-Point Connection Profile, type *ANS needed
• PC gets IP address of local LAN assigned
• With PROXY ARP = YES, AS/400 stands in for the PC
• Allow IP datagram forwarding
• IP route of type *HOST added dynamically
• Access authority checking via dialog script, if required
• Modem information required
